 Akashic Life Path Readings: Pila has given more than 10,000 of these readings through the years, world-wide. Early on, he gave these readings during his breaks at seminars and lectures. He offers them at half-price online thru his website in order to gain research data for an upcoming book. They are a lot of work for Pila and the inspiration comes in cycles--he will tell you if he is "burned out" and then you have a choice of waiting or declining.
Pila recommends pursuing a reading only if you feel you are at a life threshold and are willing to look into your "mirror" and embrace your Karma. In other words, are your ready to brace yourself and bite the bullet? Pila is the first to tell you that his readings are not easy to take. He will tell you things that your mother doesn't even know about you, but YOU do! He will tell you things you should know in order to get on with your greatness. These Akashic record readings address your deep-down, inner drives and the core-level Karmic issues that may be standing in the way of your full potential and Destiny. Even though almost everyone who gets offended by Pila's frankness has apologized to him later, be aware that the information is neither easy for him to deliver nor for most people to absorb.
He does most of his readings on-line at www.mysticalhawaii.com ($300.00), some on the phone, and a few in person ($500.00) including a Ho'oponopono intervention, if needed, for 'blockages.' Pila’s own description of the readings is that "they are always accurate and often brutal." Having had a reading with Pila in 2004, I (Gail Coffey, CEO of SWI) can tell you the readings are memorable and have layers of meaning that unfold to you as your understanding grows. My personal experience verifies they are accurate and memorable because his words continue to come back to me all these years lately and sometimes call me to return to the reading for a "refresher course."

Book I, "Hawaii, The Call to the Soul", Pila's personal story of the horrors of war, his struggle for healing and enlightenment and how he found his way "home" to Hawaii. Available as a digital pdf download complete with color illustrations from http://www.mysticalhawaii.com/?page_id=37 for a while longer. (It will soon be published in hardback.) I found interesting that the book discusses our intuitive link to our "high self," as the Hawaiians say, is a "feminine one." Pila points out that the Greek translation of the Bible before King James described us as "formed in the image and likeness of God as having both selves in one body, male and female created he him." "My favorite step down this treacherous new road is a quote from one of our most famous actors of all time," says Pila. "When asked if he was gay, James Dean replied...way back when it could destroy one's career and standing, 'Well, let me put it this way, I don't believe in going through life with one hand tied behind my back." Pila contends that one's sexual preference or orientation isn't the issue; however, any truly enlightened soul should realize, if not develop the fact, that "whenever one commands or asserts, she is using her masculine side" (I could sense a chuckle 'brewing') "and whenever a man nurtures and cares he is getting in touch with his intuitive, feminine side. We have a world in crisis, an increasingly mental world, where sensitivity and intuition, rather than 'toughness' are the tools necessary to survival. The crisis is it goes entirely against all male programming throughout history" (or what Pila now refers to as "his story"). The book also describes the incredible story of the "global gathering of Old Souls" in Hawaii that many believe might be the fulfilling of legend and prophecy.
Pila has also written, "The Tidal Wave of Change: Lesson 1, How to Surf" (which will soon be expanded and re-released as "The Armageddon Fun Book and Survival Guide." ("For men, I want to package it with a fifth of scotch and a box of crayons.") He is now writing, "The Numinous Prediction," that begins with his actual Ground Zero experience at 9/11.

Healing Philosophy:
 Pila uses the Akashic readings as the main venue for his healing work today. To date, he has identified some 18 distinct "old soul" Life Paths that distinguish themselves among what he terms "the white-noise masses of ordinary, unevolved, linear souls. "This is not to put the masses down," he emphasizes, "I envy them!"
"I am referring to what many know as the Old Souls of more than one lifetime. What some categorize in new titles of Indigo and what tribal legend refers to as the '144,000.' I believe I have identified, and through the years read (to date) approximately 11,000."
William "Pila" Chiles is a decorated Vietnam veteran with Fleet Marine Forces, Pacific and survivor of a Top Secret experimental program in guerilla warfare. As a Recon Marine, he volunteered for the program which experienced more than a 50% casualty rate, among the highest casualty rates of the Vietnam war. During a near-death combat experience he witnessed a vision of the future that ultimately led him to Hawaii. He has been honored as a guest speaker for the "Year of the Hawaiian" by American Hawaii Cruise Lines. He describes one of his pinnacle experiences as having the privilege of being the first non-Hawaiian to perform an official Hawaiian blessing to commemorate the opening of a state institution.
